A point is known as a point of contraflexure if it is a location where bending moment is zero (changes its sign). In a bending moment diagram, it is the point at which the bending moment curve intersects with the zero line.

Point of contracture is the point at which BM changes its sign.
Point of inflexion where the shear force changes its sign.

In a bending beam, a point is known as a point of contraflexure if it is a location at which no bending occurs. In a bending moment diagram, it is the point at which the bending moment curve intersects with the zero line. In other words where the bending moment changes its sign from negative to positive or vice versa.

As per point of contra flexure definition. It is the point where the B.M is Zero after changing its sign from +ve to -ve value or vice versa.
So, answer B is correct (Bending moment diagram).
So, answer B is correct (Bending moment diagram).

The bending moment is maximum at a point where shear force changes sign. This means that the point where shear force becomes zero from +ve to -ve value or vice versa, the B. M. At that point is maximum.
So, answers A & D are the correct answers.
So, answers A & D are the correct answers.
