Point of contraflexure is point where Shear force changes its sign and at that point BM is max.

But the given correct answer is bending moment changes its sign.

BM Max at that time SF change it sign.

POC is a point in the bending moment diagram where bending moment change its sign i.e. from +ve to -ve or vice versa. By this we can come to a conclusion that poc is a point where bending moment is zero.

POI is the point at which BM is zero. POC is the point at which BM changes its sign. :).

I agree to @Naresh. Point of contraflexure is that point where BM changes it's sign.

Where shear force changes its sign or in maximum bending moment.

Point of contract flexure isn't an point where bending momentum changes its sign i.e BM=0 and maximum BM occurs at shear force zero i.e shear force changes it's sign.

In a bending moment diagram, it is the point at which the bending moment curve intersects with the zero line. In other words where the bending moment changes its sign from negative to positive or vice versa.
