A newspaper need not always have a date, nor is it going to be useless if it doesn't have one. It need not carry the name of the editor for any particular column or news. An Advertisement is a type of news. So the news is the correct answer. Without news there is no newspaper, it's just a couple of blank sheets.

Date, Advertisement is also News so these two comes under news and editor works his to finalize the newspapers. You must be thinking without editor there is no news but news is news it can be through anything okay.
