C is the right answer.
Because the word student is common either its boy or girl.

As per the question, only D option fits right as no other option is true.
And those who are confused with the mid circle, The mid one is a set of students, so when we draw a relation between boys and students, it fits right. Secondly, when we talk about girl we just draw relationship b/w students and girls only neglecting the third circle as boys are contained in the set of students, we don't need to draw seperate set.
Hope that clarify.

Hello All,
D can't be the answer.
As per my logic, the answer will be with one big Circle and inside that 2 circle which are not intersected to each other.

I think the answer will be D but I am not fully satisfied with the above mentioned answer figures.
Here (Students) is the Super set and (Boys) and (Girls) are sub-sets.
Both these sub-sets will be encircled inside the super set separately (Students) because (Girls) and (Boys) both are students but (Girls) cannot be (Boys) and (Boys) cannot be girls.

The option D is correct. Because, students refers as boys or girls, but not all the boys or girls are students.
E.g - illiterate boy or girl who never go to school or institution due to poverty.
