Option B is the correct answer.

Some pens are pencils (pencils is inside the pen circle so option B is the correct answer).

The answer is D. The repeated term, "pens" cannot be used for the conclusion.

The Neither (1) nor (2) follows is correct due to undistributed middle term the middle term is pen" and also not sound.
