Directions to Solve
Choose the correct alternative that will continue the same pattern and replace the question mark in the given series.
7.
1, 2, 3, 6, 9, 18, ?, 54
Answer: Option

1, 2, 3, 6, 9, 18,.....,54.
Take alternate positions 2 6 18 54.
2*3=6.
6*3=18.
18*3=54.
Each multiplying with 3.
Similarly take the alternate numbers 1 3 9.
1*3=3.
3*3=9.
9*3=27.
This is also a method which holds good for many problems.

1+1 = 2
2+1 = 3
3+3 = 6
6+3 = 9
9+9 = 18
18+9 = 27
27+27 = 54
54+27 = 81...So, the answer is 27 as the addition is repeated with three to the power zero, one, two, three.
2+1 = 3
3+3 = 6
6+3 = 9
9+9 = 18
18+9 = 27
27+27 = 54
54+27 = 81...So, the answer is 27 as the addition is repeated with three to the power zero, one, two, three.

HERE WE CAN JUST SPLIT THE SERIES AS;
1 2 3 6
9 18 ? 54
NOW YOU CAN EASILY FIND THAT 1*9= 9.
2*9 = 18,
AND 6*9= 54 S0,
3 *9 = 27.
1 2 3 6
9 18 ? 54
NOW YOU CAN EASILY FIND THAT 1*9= 9.
2*9 = 18,
AND 6*9= 54 S0,
3 *9 = 27.

Her we can see that every 2nd digit is the double of its preceding digit......so 1+1 2, 3+3 6, 9+9 18, 18+18 36,and so on.......so ans is 36

By paring alternate number we can find 2/1 = 2
6/3 = 2
18/9 = 2.
54 should be twice of a number that is =27.
So, when 54/27=2.
6/3 = 2
18/9 = 2.
54 should be twice of a number that is =27.
So, when 54/27=2.

First add up to three digits 1+2 = 3, 1+2+3 = 6, 6+3 = 9, then multiply, 9*2 = 18, 9*3 = 27, 9*6 = 54. So answer 27.

1, 2, 3, 6, 9, 18, ?, 54.
1 + 2 = 3,
1 + 2 + 3=6,
3 + 6 = 9,
3 + 6 + 9 = 18,
9 + 18 = 27.
9 + 18 + 27 = 54.
1 + 2 = 3,
1 + 2 + 3=6,
3 + 6 = 9,
3 + 6 + 9 = 18,
9 + 18 = 27.
9 + 18 + 27 = 54.

@Sumit.
That is possible in 2, 2 sets only, like 1, 2; 3, 6; 9, 18; 27, 54; so the answer must be 27 only.

2*9=18
18+9=27
2*27=54
first add two numbers and and multiply 3rd num with 2
