@Suman and @Monisha. It is mentioned if u look closely.
A sits with "his" best friend. So he is boy.
Then E is "brother" of C. So ofcourse E is also boy.
AED are sitting together. A and E are boys (proved). In each bench there must be atleast 1 girl. Since A and E are both guys, D must be a girl.
Hope this helps.

We often observe in classrooms that all the girls sit in row and all the boys sit in row, in this question 2 &3 benches right end is sat by girls who B is second second bench right end, and C is 3rd bench right end, so D is girl sitting in 1st bench right end.

@Monisha.
A sits on the bench I with (his) best friends, so A is boy.
So, @Anuj is very right & also @Rakesh is right as its still not clear that G is boy or girl as in 3rd row G can be either boy or girl, so I think that solves problem.

As per my meaning "A" would be sure male because in question last line clarify that "A" sits with 'HIS' friend. And in this question asking only possible combination of girls so it should be right answer.

It can b because also as nothing is mentioned if a or d is a girl or boy.
Even in answer no 1 you say its 3 or 4 so data is insufficient.

Its doesn't makes any sense, a best friend can be male or female, A is best friend of Boy E, so the gender of A & D is still doubtful.

I will agree with manish. The answer is wrong because the given hints did not explain whether 'A' and 'D' are boy or girl.

In question-2 (a) can also be an answer because it's not mentioned that A and C are boys or girls.

A sits with "HIS" best friends that means A is a boy. I hope this clears all your doubts.
