Here from the 2nd condition, G is the extreme left of the string.
From 4th condition, it is confirmed that the person 3rd to the left of D is one end. Therefore D is on the extreme left position. And hence A is the rightmost end.

According to the arrangement of given answer, the position of A is third to the right of D which is not satisfying the 4th condition of the question.

A cam also be on the on extreme left position if we arrange it in A G D C B E F. This arrangement can also satisfy the above condition.
