Let's consider the houses numbered from 1 to 8 from left to right.

Condition 3 implies there is at least one house to the left of Larry, so Larry cannot be in house 1.

Condition 4 implies Paul lives in one of the two houses in the middle, so Paul can be in house 4 or 5.

Condition 5 implies Mike lives between Paul and Larry. So, considering Paul in house 4, Mike must be in house 3, and Larry in house 2.
But this would violate Condition 3 as Larry has no house to his left. So, Paul must be in house 5, Mike in house 4, and Larry in house 3.

Now, Condition 2 states that Harry is just next to the left of Larry. Therefore, Harry is in house 2.

Condition 6 states that if at least one lives to the right of Robert, so Robert cannot be in house 8, and there must be someone to the right of Robert. Let's consider Robert in house 7 and someone in house 8.

Now, Condition 7 states that Harry is not between Taud and Larry. Since Harry is in house 2, Taud must be in house 1.

So, the arrangement is:

* Taud
* Harry
* Larry
* Mike (between Paul and Larry)
* Paul (one of the two houses in the middle)
(Empty)
* Robert
(Someone to the right of Robert).

Option C is correct.

The arrangement is JHLMPSRT. This is the correct order.

Here jack is not a neighbour of Simon. Harry is just left to Larry. There is atleast one to the left of Larry which means there should be one or more persons to the left of Larry. Here Paul lives in one of the two middle houses, Total of eight houses, 4th and 5th will be the middle houses. Paul can either live in 4th or 5th. I assume that he Lives in 5th house in order to get the prompt answer. Here Mike lives between Paul and Larry. Then if you read the following, Option C will not be correct. The question was asked to find out the wrong one. The other 3is correct but option C is wrong. So, Option C is the answer.
