Option A is my preferred answer.

5. Advertisement (The company outs up a job vacancy).
6. Application ( Job seekers apply).
3. Selection ( Here sorting of all the applications received and selecting based on qualifications, certifications etc. Of course, not all who applied for a job get called for interview).
2. Interview (Successful applicants are called for interview).
4. Appointment (Those successful at the interview stage are given appointment).
1. Probation (The new employees are carefully observed for any character traits that do not conform to the company's mode of operation for some period of time).

A. 5. 6. 3. 2 4. 1

This is a slight correction to Cornel's answer. This is the correct answer.

The answer is correct and an appointment doesn't only mean booking a time slot. Appointment here refers to assigning the job or position to someone after they are selected hence the order 5 6 2 3 4 1.

Meaning first see ad then people apply and are further called in for interview then desired candidates are selected and appointed for the suitable available position and kept on probation period to assess someone whether they are actually a good fit for the company or not.

The correct way of arranging these words in the context of a typical hiring process is:

1. Advertisement
2. Application
3. Interview
4. Selection
5. Appointment
6. Probation

This sequence represents the steps from job posting to the final stage of probation after being hired.
