I think the answer is wrong. It's after selection before the interview. Selection maybe aptitude test if you pass you proceed for an interview.

Here appointment refers to the appointment of job I think, that is why appointment here comes after selection process. Therefore, the series is 5, 6, 2, 3, 4, 1.
