Please note the question if switch off is given instead of switch on then the whole sequence will get reverse.

Option C is may be right.
But if I want to enter in to the room first I search the room then see lock then use key to open it, after that push the door and enter inside after that switch on the light.

Before entering into the room I have to open the key then open the door, enter into room then switch on the light:).

According to me, it's Key in the lock of the door to the room and switches on.
