One morning after sunrise Nivedita and Niharika were talking to each other face to face at Dalphin crossing. If Niharika's shadow was exactly to the right of Nivedita, Which direction Niharika was facing?
Answer: Option
Explanation:
In the morning sun rises in the East. Hence then any shadow falls in the West. Since Nikharia's shadow was exactly to the right of Nivedita. Hence Nikharia is facing towards North.

See, the sun rises in the east, so the shadow would be in the west (left). So, if Nivedita is standing in the South, then she would see Niharika's shadow in the right side (remember, the direction changes, if the shadow is in the left in the North direction then in South, it would be right i.e., opposite) and in the question, it is said that THEY'RE TALKING FACE TO FACE (i. E, opposite to each other. How we usually talk!), so. If Nivedita is in the south, then Niharika would be in the opposite direction i.e., north.

Technically, if Niharika's shadow is falling exactly right of Nivedita, then sun is in SE direction. If SE is East then Niharika should be facing NW direction.

The simple answer is that in the morning shadow falls in the west. Therefore it is given that Niharika's shadow was exactly to the right of Nivedita. So Niharika's shadow was in west so Niharika is facing north.

I prefer short cut of,
MR-S(morning right then ans is south),
ML-N(morning left then north),
ER-N(evening right then north),
EL-S(evening left then south).
MR-S(morning right then ans is south),
ML-N(morning left then north),
ER-N(evening right then north),
EL-S(evening left then south).
