@All.

Here is the explanation.

West-X-East.

So, Y is in the northeast of X then,

P is in the southwest of y i.e. P is in the south and left of Y is west i.e., West-Y-East.

So, the answer is South-West.

We have to say according to the position of Y. So we have to consider Y in the middle. And that is why the answer is Southwest.

Let me clarify;

Simple;

As per the question Y is EAST of X ( Here, understood that Y is placing a X's east position , neither Y NOT REMAINS in " EAST side ".

So, the conclusion is Y is in a west side ( in view of X it was in a east side),
Answer is SOUTH-WEST.

Y is east of x which is north of z. Means x position will be west of Y and north of z. After he said p position will be south of z.

There will be created a right-angle triangle.

What you have to do is follow the arrow, the southeast is a right down tilted arrow and the southwest is a left down tilted arrow.

So draw the diagram and the arrow of which relation you want to find and match the direction of the arrow!
