Due to an accident and direction pole turned such a manner that the pointer which was showing east, started showing south. One traveller went to wrong direction thinking it to be west, actually which direction he was moving?

Finally he moves 20 km after turning to the left means that he turned in anticlockwise direction which means in South direction. So the person moved to 20 km south from position D as per diagram.
The main concept here is that if a person turns left it means he moved in anticlockwise direction and vice-versa.
