Guys the correct birth year of Rahul is 1954.
We can't get the birth year of Rahul from 1 or 2 statement ,we need both the statements to find out the birth year of Rahul.
In the statement age is not given that Rahul is 25 years or his brother is 35 years.
Give focus.
Here it is given that Rahul is 25 year YOUNGER to his mother & his brother is 35 year YOUNGER to his mother
So, after calculation 35-25=10 year.
means Rahul is 10 year older to his brother.
If Rahul's brother born in 1964 than Rahul must be born in (1964-10=1954.)
So, Rahul is born in 1954.
Read the question carefully.

The answer is 1974 because Rahul brother age 35. And his brother age 25 year old. So last option is ok.

Doesn't say that the brother is biologically related either, if that is an adopted brother how is the mother and brothers age correlated?

I think the answer is 1974. Because Rahul brother age 35 and Rahul Age is 25. So the year will be 1974.
