For the day to be known, first of all, we should have its born year And month in the statement we have the month as April but not the born year.
So, data is insufficient and the answer is D

I think the answer should be D. Because after reading both statements we concluded that (55-28=27) year 4 months i.e. April or 5 days means 13. So he was born on 13 April.
But in question, they ask for on which day. So both statements insufficient to answer.

I think answer should be option b) as the 2nd statement is enough to find the date of a child's birthday.

They have asked for which day? not which date I say that data is not sufficient enough, so answer is D either a nor b.

Mothers age will be 55 years 4m 5days on aug 18. So mother was born on april 13. Sons age=55-28=27 and day is april 13.
