Statements:

  1. Gagan, Vimal and Kunal are all of the same age.
  2. Total age of Vimal, Kunal and Anil is 32 years and Anil is as old as Vimal and Kunal together.

Answer: Option
Explanation:

As given in I and II, we have: G = V = K, V + K + A = 32 and A = V + K.

Putting V + K = A in V + K + A = 32, we have: 2A = 32 or A = 16.

Thus, V + K = 16 and V = K. So, V = K = 8. Thus, G = 8.

According to the 1st statement it tells Gagan, Kunal and Vimal are all of the same age.

According to the 2nd statement combined age of all three persons Anil, Kunal and Vimal is 32, it is given that Anil's age is older when both Kunal and Vimal's age is combined so from the total age 32/2= 16, we know Kunal and Vimal have same age according to 1st statement so we conclude 8 is the age of vimal and Kunal so as the same for Gagan.

Either option I or option II is sufficient since the sum of their age is 32.

Anil age = Vimal+ Kunal, so anil age is 16. Vimal+Kunal=16.
