You are right. Green may be blue from 1 and green may be brown from 2. So the answer should be C.

Answer is d because color of grass can't be determined in any of these statements.

We can't use general knowledge in solving such answers. The answer should infer from the given two statements. So we can't say that color of grass is green as its not mentioned in any of the statements. So answer should be D.
