I noticed that lamb, colt and farrow are young ones of animals, but then I notice that turtle and bitch are not. Meanwhile most species of turtles live or spend most of life in the water.
The first time I see the word 'turtle' meant exclusively young turtle specimen. Show me please a dictionary or a scientific article in which turtles are listed as a diminutive.

Shouldn't farrow be the correct answer?
Because it talks about a liter of piglets and not 1 piglet alone.
