As people are busy in there job so few people visit religious place during weekdays & most of them visit at weekdays.

So, Both the statements I and II are the effects of some common cause.

Here the common cause is that they are free in those days.

So both are effects of that common cause.

Some people visit on weekends and some on weekdays.

Two statements say many visit on weekend and few visit on weekdays!, they are absolutely independent.
