I think it should be A option as large mob was gathered on 15of month in temple and some repair is required in temple so authority has decided to close down the temple from 17 of month.

There was huge rush on 15th which might caused some destruction in temple so authority closed temple on 17th for repair.

Th huge number of people are there in the temple. So, some problems may arise that's why the repair is needed to the temple.

It was declared that the temple would remain closed from 17th of the month. Hence, there was heavy rush on Sunday, 15th of the month. Sunday is the day of Sabbath as well.

But the temple might have been busy on 15th due to some other reasons as well. Say a special observance or a great religious figure had made a presence might have caused that. It is not necessary that the closing down of the temple had a direct correlation with the massive rush of people.
