In question, he gave whats the such that d is the uncle of A. Firstly it's clearly mentioned that D is an uncle. That means gender is male. So in options clearly the A have to be male and it can only be done with option 3 because A and b have starting *, % symbols which will make A female. If you draw a family tree with that we can't get uncle relation between A and D. So there is no option available. So its D.

C + D implies C is brother of D but D may be brother or sister of C, hence, may be uncle or aunt. So, option A is ruled out.

Similarly, option be is ruled out as in relation C % D, D may be father or mother of C. Option c says A and C are children of B and D, so cannot be the answer.

As the sex of D cannot be determined hence, option d is correct.

Basically in option C,

A+C = A(male) is brother of C(male/female).
C%B = C(female) is daughter of B(male/female).
B*Q = B(female) is wife of Q(male).

So B and Q (husband and wife relation)are parents of
A and C(Brother and sister relation).

So as per given question, option C is wrong.
And A,B are also incorrect.
So answer is D.

A % B x C + D.
A % B-> A is daughter of B. A=Female.
B x C-> B is wife of C. B=Female.
C + D-> C is brother of D. C= male.

Evey-ones sex is given, but not of D, therefore D may be male or female.

The Correct answer is "None of these"

Option A is correct. Because in the question itself is asking Which of these option means D is the uncle of C.

D as uncle is referred here so obviously he will be a male. If D would be aunty then they would have mention C as the brother-in-law of D.

It's given in question that D is uncle of a Hence male. Option A satisfies C+D C brother of D. BxC implies B is wife of C hence C is male proves both ways. And finally A%B means B is mother of A. Hence A is niece of D or D is uncle of A.

A is daughter of B.
B is wife of C.
=> C is father of A.
C is brother of D.
But we do not know sex of D.
If D is male then [A] is the answer.
But if D is female then we don't have any answer.

The option A is Correct, because A is the daughter of B and B is the wife of C so B (mother) and C (father) are parents of A (daughter) that means father's brother will uncle of A (daughter).

@ nemin.

The sex of D is available in option c. But that does not matches the answer. And in option A we are not sure about the sex of D. So that can't be the ans. !

So the ans is D. !

A % B means A is daughter of B.

B x C means B is wife of C.

Hence A is daughter of C.

Now C+ D means C is brother of D.

But that does not means D is a male.

i.e. Option D is correct.
