Either 1 or 2
1 and 2 both are required
Answer: Option
Explanation:

Given: D is the brother of B.

From statement 2, we can detect that B is 'Female' (sister of D).

No, I think it should be only 2. We need to find the relation between B and C. From 2, we come to know that B is a girl. It is sufficient to say B will be a daughter of C, irrespective of the gender of C.

@All.

Both statements are required for us. Without a second statement. We can't know the gender of B. Without knowing the gender. How can we related to C?

How can we say like that B is the sister of D (there is no mentioning the sex of B) then how it is possible?

I think option one is the right answer.

Ya ya I too agree with Mr. Sundar. We must find relation between B and C.

So, the second statement also required to solve this problem.

The son of D is the grandson of C.

So, D may be son in law of C.

In this case, B is not the daughter of C.

Please reply my query.

According to me, the Correct answer is Option B.

Only 2 (B is the sister of D. ). This is required to find that B is daughter of C.

Here B is not specified in the question, whether it is female or male. So, I think statement-2 is not necessary.

Is it right?
