I do not agree with the answer since in the question it is clearly mentioned as Only Son and NOT Only Child. Hence, the answer should be D. If it had mentioned as Only Child then the answer could have been "Brother".

Some people say, "only son" means, he has only a son and no daughters. OK, if someone had one daughter and one son, what would you call his male child?
Isn't he the "only son"? In which case the answer is D.
Isn't he the "only son"? In which case the answer is D.

Answer is cousin or brother. If you take maternal grand father son means uncle and uncle's son is cousin or if you take paternal gran father only son then he is your father's son only son means. Only one son and there is a chance to have daughters so, answer is son or cousin.

It's not mentioned whether Lata is male or female; So it is incorrect to answer as brother. Data is inadequate.

The question should mention "only child" instead of "only son" otherwise the data would be inadequate. Only son means that Lata's grandfather has only one son, it doesn't exclude the possibility of him having a daughter.

The only son of Lata's grandfather is Lata's father, not Lata's brother. So the correct answer is D.

The answer for the question may be (A) (C) (D). Because the question only mentions that the grandfather only had one son but not only one child. From this we may come to a conclusion that Lata may also be the daughter of the mother and the man in the photograph may be her cousin. So here we can say that the data provided is not sufficient enough to come to a conclusion.

My doubt is if it mentioned the only son of a grand Father. Does it means grandfather has an only son (one child) no daughter nor other sons?
