Answer is cousin or brother. If you take maternal grand father son means uncle and uncle's son is cousin or if you take paternal gran father only son then he is your father's son only son means. Only one son and there is a chance to have daughters so, answer is son or cousin.

Actualy the only son of lata's grandfather is lata's father himself and his only son is lata's father's son which means lata's brother. Here in the question only son doesnot mean he has only one child it means he had only one male person in his next generation.

A is the only son of B. It means that, A is the only male child of B. It does not mean that B does not have a girl child or A does not have a sister sibling. It substantially doesn't mean that A is the only child of B as A can have a sister sibling.

It is not mentioned whether Lata's grandfather is paternal or maternal grandfather. Hence, the person is either Lata's brother (in case of paternal grandfather) or cousin (in case of maternal grandfather).

In question, it is mentioned as "only son" and not "only child" so there is a possibility that Lata is the child born to the grandfather's daughter. Just lik Ajit singh as mentioned above. So answer is "DATA INADEQUATE".

The question should mention "only child" instead of "only son" otherwise the data would be inadequate. Only son means that Lata's grandfather has only one son, it doesn't exclude the possibility of him having a daughter.

In the question, Lata says that he is the only son of my grandfather. By this point, we can conclude 2 things.
1. The person whom Lata is pointing can be her father or,
2, Data inadequate, answers can't be determined.

I do not agree with the answer since in the question it is clearly mentioned as Only Son and NOT Only Child. Hence, the answer should be D. If it had mentioned as Only Child then the answer could have been "Brother".
