Whether, D is male or female not given so according to relation it could be NEPHEW or NIECE but clearly mentioned in options "[D]. Cannot be determined" so we have to select that one only.

Niece--> a daughter of your brother or sister and a daughter of your husband's or wife's brother or sister.

Their son is called your nephew.

A = Brother (m) of B.

B = Sister (f) of C.

C = Father (m) of D.

D = ? m or f.

Therefore answer is D.

Note: A+B+C are brother and sister.

If D is male answer is NEPHEW. If D female answer is NIECE.

Exactly A is uncle of D.

[]=male.
() =female.

Now start:

a brother of b.
b sister of c.

Since c is father of d it means c is male.

Here d^s gender is not defined then we have to chose answer 4.

Define nephew: A son of your brother or sister usage, synonyms, more.

I think the correct answer is "C" because NEPHEW is given in the 4 option. No matter in male or female. In this question only say relation with D AND A.

As per question.

A (Male).
B (Female).
C (Male).

C is defined to be the father of D. So the only option is D.
