D is correct because the gender of S is indefinite, and it might be mother or father.

@Arijit & @Anil.

Here gender of S is not specified, so option d is the correct answer.

In answer we want that 'S' must be a male so A is neglected and Gender of parent is not specified so it can't be option 'B' and for option 'C', S can't be the father as it is pointing that Sis female. Hence proved that D is the answer.

Option B is correct.

Why not option "B" is correct?

Read the question carefully "S is the FATHER of Q". So answer is "B".

Parveen Singh Rawat said:   1 decade ago
Answer is B because in a question its clearly given that S is father of Q it means S = male.

Actually potion 'B' is correct. Because in question itself they told us that 'S' IS MALE ("S is father of "Q"). So they have mentioned it.

"Q" is sister of "P".
"P" is son of "S".
So 'S' is father of 'Q'.

In [A] S is female.

In [B] S is not known male or female.

In [C] S is also female.

Option D is correct. Because we can say Q is the son of S. We cannot determine S is male or female. So option D is correct.

When q@p means q is sister of p but p is son of s (p%s).

So s is father of q and p both.

Excellent! You're perfectly correct.
