Hence it can't be the correct option.

Here the gender of S cannot be determined from option B. In the question, it is clear that S is the father. So optÃon D is correct.

Actually, D is the right one, due to pure elimination. According to the question, dollar sign separates father and son and nowhere we see s$q i.e. S is the father of Q. Hence, D is the correct one.

Answer is option D because we can't decide gender s from remaining options. So we will go with option D.
