The answer is a. Forged.

The word fabricated means to create something that is not true or real. In the context of the sentence, it means that the landlord had created false documents.

The other answer choices are not correct because Historical means relating to the past.

Prepared means to make something ready for use.

Genuine means true or authentic. Therefore, the only word that fits the meaning of the sentence is forged.
