Energetic means something like enthusiastic, observant means attentive, alert and watchful also mean alert, so answer was wrong I think.

If you go and type "alert meaning" in Google you will see both the word observant and watchful are there as synonyms.

Observant means only observe things going to happen. But watchful means on any movement you watch.
