Energetic means something like enthusiastic, observant means attentive, alert and watchful also mean alert, so answer was wrong I think.

Watchful is the right answer. Since observant is a person who pays attention to one particular thing. If you are watchful you must be aware of evrything around. Energetic and intelligent are absurd answers.
