Short is correct. Because brief means a summary of a passage which includes the complete meaning of that passage but limited, little and small indicated incompleteness.

We generally say give me a brief explanation of a topic that don't mean we need limited matter or something that is small it mean we need entire theme of it in short.

I think limited will be prefferable answer among all. Brief means not that it should be short it should be well enough to give mainly important information.

Brief means small description so the right answer is small.

For ex- write short note on any one topic in place of short note we also used brief description.

I think Limited, little, small terms used to specify quantity (amount) of something.

Where the terms 'short, brief' cannot be used to specify quantity.

In brief If something is said in brief, it is said in a very short form, with very few details:

"So you didn't enjoy the party then." "In brief, no.".

Agree @Jagteet.

Short defines all of them. Thus Short is more relevant. May you have seen "write a short note on. " or "give a brief description on".
