I don't think it is correct. 'Distinction' is a noun and 'Different' is an adjective. It should either have been: 'Distinction' and 'Differentiation' OR 'Distinct' and 'Different'.

Distinction between any two things is commonly said like this but in the case of this we can say that it is not like that and we have to say it.
