Abruptly is a adverb of time and adverb of time generally placed before the verb which they modify. So the error is in option A.

The principle clause must be in past perfect tense.

So, the correct form will be: the meeting "had" adjourned.

Abruptly is an adverb of manner but the sentence is in passive form hence all the adverbs will be put before verb.
