Here no need to write " about". Because we write "about" for some person or things and discuss is neither a person nor things.

Problem here is not specific, I mean what kind of problem is it?

They didn't mention the specific problem, it seems like an examination problem but what types of problem, reading issue, studying the issue, or maybe some other issues. We don't know the specifics problem that why using the article "the" in the sentence is incorrect. We should use the article "a" instead of "the".

The word "discuss" is usually used when talking about a topic in general. The actual meaning of "discuss' is "talk about". The usage of the word about after Discuss is redundant or unnecessary. Hence "Discuss about" is incorrect. You can also use talk about in place of Discuss.

That's why Option A is correct.
