It's not right to use 'about' after 'discuss' because the word discuss itself means to talk about 'something'/'someone'. And generally, we don't use 'so' before 'thoroughly' because itself means 'very much'.

Option A is correct as we don't need to use 'about' here. But there is no problem with 'so' in option A.

Discuss, demand, describe, tell, order, reach, resemble in that word do not follow any preposition.

Discussed doesn't take any preposition, resembles also but resemblance can take to.
