How this happened can anyone please tell me what is the difference between neither of us and none of us?

Neither - not either - implies that there is a choice of only two.

So "neither of my teachers" is only correct if there are exactly two teachers, "none of my teachers" can be any number

The correct answer should be "none of us is" according to me.

Yes, I agree with @Divya. The correct answer would be 'NONE OF US IS' because:

- None of -> uses singular verb.

- None -> uses plural verb.

Eg: 1) "None of them have arrived yet" is wrong.

Correct one is "None of them has arrived yet".

2) "None is genuine" is wrong.

Correct one is "None are genuine".

If I use nobody like 'nobody is satisfied'.
