What @Md.yousuf said is write.Leaving his office and after leaving his office ---- both are correct --- the first as Present participle and the second one as Preposition with Gerund ..

In option B,both he went directly and he went direct are correct because the word direct is both an adjective and an adverb (qualifying the verb - went). flew direct to Miami.
Refer Merriam-Webster Dictionary 2011 in direct as adverb.
As far as the debate whether, leaving his office and after leaving his office ---- both are correct --- the first as Present participle and the second one as Preposition with Gerund --- Refer the section on Simple Sentence in any good grammar book.

Pooja is correst 'gerrund' case is used in this case conneting ing with principle verb leave. So after surely will not be there. Option A.
