It will be "after leaving his office". Because if we write leaving his office it shows the current time, but sentence is showing that event has already occurred in past.

The first past incident is said in perfect tense and the next consecutive incident is said in simple past tense. So, option A will be the answer.

Pooja is correst 'gerrund' case is used in this case conneting ing with principle verb leave. So after surely will not be there. Option A.

According to me.

The answer is "he went direct to a restaurant". Because ly should only be used at the end of the sentence.

Correct answer must be After leaving from his office, because only leaving office has multiple meanings.

I think option A consist error because after using 'ing' form we have to use while before 'ing'.

Why can't it be like this? After he had left his office, he went directly to a restaurant.

Why cant it be : leaving his office he went directly to a restaurant. My ans is option A.
