(C) is also wrong, "A" day before, not, "the" day before.

Tall is the 1st form of verb while "three" is a numeral, a verb is always used after a numeral. For example; we don't write strong 100 soldiers, we will write- 100 strong soldiers.

Here "strong" is a verb.

Here tall is an adjective and girls are a noun, right.

Number (three) should be used before an adjective or a noun.
