1 question is a whole sentence i.e. "They were quite amazed at the turn of events".

So we have to read the whole as a sentence unitedly. Thanks.

Quit- silent.

Quite-complete.

They were completely (quite) amazed. So the answer must be A.

Quit means to leave.
Quiet means silent.

A is correct. C is wrong as it should be 'off', although its not bold.

Quite means "a little or a lot" but not completely.

Quiet means making less noise.
