Benefited is also correct. In India, the people use Benefited as the spelling. I have never used Benefited. I am quite hesitant here.

Here two are the correct options,
a. Benefitted(British) b. Benefited(American)
It's like - Color - Colour, Center - Centre, Criticize - criticise etc.
Anyone correct me If I am wrong.

"Benefited" is the American spelling of this word whereas "Benefitted" is the British spelling.
