First of all when it is using term easiest, it should selected from a list of things => plural but option "C" and "E" have "thing" instead of "things" so omit them.
Clearly the given sentence is in present tense and option "B" AND "D" talk about past tense so omit them.

As the sentence is "one of the" so things i.e. plural of thing should come.
