There is a rule that if there are two comparison adjectives used in a sentence, then they must be completed in themselves. So option c is correct. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I sincerely believe that Answer A might be correct. But then again, it all depends upon the person who designed this sentence and what he/she had in mind. If there were two possibilities, then of course option C makes more sense, but if the sentence was intended for a singular meaning, then option A might be the correct one. I believe this question is a bit debatable.

Friends I think answer C is correct, because according to the sentence there are two possibilities (i) either ramesh is as tall as mahesh (ii) or he might be taller than mahesh.
Option A says that ramesh is taller than mahesh only.
Option A says that ramesh is taller than mahesh only.
