There are few words which are followed by specific prepositions.
As in this case its 'aware'.
Aware is followed by 'of' always.
Hence option 2.
And beware means: Cautious of.
Beware of dogs meaning "dogs se bachke rehna".
Aware on the other hand means " to be informed, vigilant (pata hona) ".
Eg. I am aware of the school meaning "muje school ke baare me pata hai".
I hope ths will help.
