Because didn't (negative) so the verb should be (present-v1) form so throw (v1), threw (v2), thrown (v3).

Answer is correct. Because did is followed by presentense.
In this sentence throw is for presentence.

The question is about how to form a question in past tense using " did " and 2nd form of the verb.
