Anyways, the conclusion is that BREAD is the right answer, and already supported by too many of us with valid points.

1st-Its a phrase, as in Bible/English saying, etc.

2nd-BREAD is one of its kind in the category of food, but not the complete food, as misunderstood by some of us.

Can also put something like this:

"All BREADs are Food/Meal, but All Food/Meal is not BREAD".

I wish this clarifies, and its not only me but as per all of us here, as its none other than what many of us already onto it.

English is not the language of Indians. So, whenever a sentence is made it should be viewed from western people point of view.

Eg: Warm welcome to all my friends over here. 'Warm' is there referring to cold climates in that region. Even here in India we use it as same not 'cool welcome'.

Similarly, for them bread is food like roti for us. So answer is bread.

Bread is the right Answers. And here Bread does not actually mean which we buy from a bakery. I don't want to make it complicate. It's saying or proverb/phrase in English and hence Bread means our daily food (Our Daily Bread).

As per the phrase:.

Man does not live by alone. (Bread will the answer).

See here, the sentence says the man does not live by _____ alone.

Here live means it talks about basic necessity. So in contrast, with bread or food the bread suits more appropriate. Because bread (roti) is a basic necessity to live. Although food includes all types of eating material.

Guys, actually FOOD, DIET, and MEAL all are include (bread, water, salads and other things which require of human body).
So man need all things to live.
But man can not live without water.
The questioner concentrating on water.
"THAT'S WHY THE RIGHT ANSWER MUST BE 'BREAD'. ".

Guys concentrate on alone. Man does not live by food. Is good, but If alone is include then the right answer is bread.

No, anyone people can live only by bread.

Bread is the correct answer because bread alone is carbohydrates so you need other classes of food to compliment your bread like tea, beans egg etc. But food or meal has been a compliment by other classes of food. So "you can't feed on bread alone".

Food includes = bread, rice, meal, meat, vegetables and so on.

Bread is just a part of Food. So man cannot live only by eating bread, so the best answer is "Bread".

Food is correct answer because food include every thing of eat. If bread not available in food yet any one eat but if food is not available then any one not eat. OK.

So I understand that FOOD is correct answer.

Actually guys we are thinking for the right ans in a practical way but in actual it is just like a proverb, which has already proved. I also thought the right ans is option-A. But the ans is 'BREAD'.
