The best option for this sentence would be:
4) **captured**
The phrase "captured the entire soft drink market" conveys a business-related success, fitting the context of a company gaining control or dominance in a market.
Other options like "conquered" or "swallowed" may sound too aggressive, and "occupied" is more commonly used in territorial or military contexts.

The word conquered is also relevant and is used when the industry is taking over, like conquering a nation which is not done in the shadows but in broad light. The word captured is right in this situation because they've used the word little-publicized.

Captured is the correct one as conquer means to defeat someone and then grab the property where as capture means just to get that whole property.

Occupied is generally used in such case. I think occupied is more appropriate.

Entire soft drink market means whole market. So captured is confusing. I think occupied is better answer.

'Occupied' is way better. Occupied is used in such scenarios formally across organizations.
