As per Alexander Pope;
To make errors and mistakes is human, but to forgive someone for his error is a divine thing.
That's why they say that one can come even after doing loads of sin, but if he does redemption from his heart, then God will forgive him.

Err--means mistake and Divine are related to god here.

err is a mistake. It means human beings commit mistakes, so to err is human and to forgive divine.
